Assignment 3 Critique Session
Received quite a number of comments after presenting the prototype to the class. Below are comments/suggestions, which I gathered from the critique session.
One of the classmate pointed out that she couldn't tell that it was the dog owner who picked up the poo on the floor (7th photo). The tutor suggested to leave out the first photo (Don't add in the dog's emotion to complicate the story). The tutor also advised to enlarge or take a closer photo of the poster(9th photo) to focus on the main poster "be a responsible pet owner". Overall, everyone is able to tell the story as it is quite direct.
Reflection
How to improve on the assignment?
1)Take a extreme close up of the poster.
2)Take a full body length photo of the "owner" picking up the poo.
3)Take a photo that show interactions between the dog owner and the passerby who is pointing at the dog's poo.
Working with a pet is extremely difficult, especially when you want them to perform desired actions. To retake photo that show interactions between the dog owner and passerby is tough, and it's impossible to re-stage that scene.
